With over a decade of experience in early childhood education, both in independent and state systems, I've seen firsthand the transformative power of a positive early learning experience. As a passionate Early Childhood Educator and a parent myself, I understand the importance of building confidence, independence, and responsibility in our young learners. Our aim is not just to prepare them for school but to instill a lifelong love for learning.
Social and emotional development is the heart of our programs
At Little Learners, we believe that social and emotional skills are just as crucial as academic ones, especially at the Kindergarten level. These are the years to lay the foundation for skills that will support them throughout their schooling and beyond. Our program is designed to nurture these areas, ensuring your child is confident, engaged, and ready for the adventures of schooling.
Our curriculum is designed for discovery and growth
Our curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to provide a balanced focus on literacy and numeracy, enriched with activities that foster social and behavioral skills critical in a classroom setting. Through explicit teaching and hands-on experiences, we explore:
Literacy: Early reading strategies, sound and letter recognition, word recognition, fine motor control for pencil grip, and letter formation.
Numeracy: Counting, number recognition, and introducing simple math language concepts like big, small, up, down, more, less, etc.
Every child's journey begins with an informal assessment to tailor our program to their current knowledge level. For those seeking a deeper understanding of their child's readiness, we offer a formal School Readiness Assessment upon request.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Elicia Sleet-Ford
I am a passionate educator and mother, who believes in creating a positive, happy environment for children to learn and flourish. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood, I have dedicated my career to the growth and development of young minds.
My journey began when I recognised a common concern among parents, including myself, about children's readiness for school. Inspired by my own children, aged 3 years and 10 months at the time, and fuelled by my love of working with Kindergarten-aged children, I founded Little Learners Ascot. Starting with just one student in August 2017, I have seen Little Learners grow into a thriving community.
My golden rule? "Children that feel safe and happy can learn and flourish in a positive environment." This philosophy guides everything we do at Little Learners Ascot, where we're committed to preparing your little ones for their next big step in education—all while having fun!
